Farm Fun at BSLK and a Zoo FREEBIE!

What a way to spend Good Friday! If we can't be out of school, then I can think of no better way to spend it than with my 18 sweet little kinders on Farm Day! We started the morning bright and early just like real farmers and spent all day visiting different parts of our school learning everything there is to know about farm life. We learned all about how milk comes from a cow and makes it to our table by doing a relay race, we did some fun barrel racing with Coach in the gym, and spent some time petting all kinds of farm animals. The kids even got to hold their very own baby chicks which they LOVED! Later, we learned all about planting crops and flowers, we experienced some farm life fun by "shaving" sheep (the picture explains it all), we met Mrs. Wishy Washy, and we learned EVERYTHING there is to know about horses from our  ELL teacher and her horse, Flash. I've posted all kinds of pictures of the days activities. Oh! I also managed to squeeze in enough time for a FREE Zoo Word Search. It's posted in my tpt store, so you can grab it here. I also posted a picture of our grassheads after about 3 weeks! They turned out so cute with their little faces!

These were the lima beans that the kids got to plant in crystal soil so they could actually see the growth process. The lady in charge of the planting station told the kids that these were their "baby beans" and they had to love and take care of it just like a baby, so they decided to name their babies...there a several interesting names as you can see. My favorite was Judy Bean haha. I LOVE my kids!
